HR Buechler
H. R. Buechler is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher, and founder of OXBLOOD Publishing. They are a current graduate student in the School of Information Science at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. They are the 2016-2018 Victor Hammer Fellow at the Wells College Book Arts Center and former Print Production Fellow for the Journal of Artists’ Books (JAB). They hold an MFA in Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts from Columbia College Chicago, and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Their research is broadly concerned with historic and contemporary communication technology and culture, and the classification and valorization of aesthetic documents. They specialize in contemporary artists' publications, publication practice and theory, with special attention to the born-digital.
